music medals is were you play a peice of music and play it in front of your teacher. Our teacher is called Peter. P.4, P.5, P.6 and P.7. you will ether get a bronze sliver or gold medal. There will be cameras waching you. You do this thing were your teacher (peter) claps his hands then you play it back to him with any string you want to play.

End of school

We have a party at the end of school. Lots of people bring in food.We put on music and some people bring there psps,nitendo ds's and games consoles. There is an assembly on the last week of school. We get to wear our normal clothes and we get out early.

One day a lady came in to talk to use about NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Crulety to Children) fours pupils got up and told us a story about this mum that loved to garden, a dad that loved to cook, a monster and a child that loved to play football and loved Liverpool. The wee boy got in to the big match and he goes to tell his mum and his mum said "not know Burnerd" so he goes to tell his dad and his dad said not know Burnerd". So he goes out to the garden and plays with his ball and the monster comes out and scared Burnerd and he ate Burnerd up. The monster went to scare the mum but the mum just said "not know Burnerd" and the monster went to dad and dad said "not know Burnerd". So the monster went to Burnerd's bed and fell asleep. The mum and dad came and said goodnight to Burnerd but it was not Burnerd it was the monster and that is the end of the story.

Mrs. Norton leaving

Mrs. Norton has been Principal of Spa primary School for fourteen and a half years. During this time there have been many changes to the school, all good, many of which could not have been acomplished without her. Mrs. Norton is looking forward to a pleasent retirement at the end of this year. When she leaves Mrs. Norton will have left with over thirty six years of teaching experience.

There are different activites during Spa sports day. The activities are the sack race,running race,cross country race,spoon race,bean bag race ect. You get split into teams. The teams are called in colours like the green team,red team,white team ect. At the end of sports day you get a big cup with ribons round it.

We all got to make a easter bastket or a hat. We also had lots of things to do it with. Miss. McCloud told us to go to pound land and around a pound to buy lots and we all got lots of Easter things. At the end of the Spa's got talent Mrs. Norton brouhgt the winners sheet up and many people got prizes including me Britney Wilson won a egg.

Mr Smyth leaving

Mr. Smyth is leaving after being here for twelve years. He is going to a school called Ballymacash in lisburn. There he is going to be vice principal . At the begining of his career he taught p.5 then he ended up in p.6 and now he is leaving. We all think he is going to be very good at his new job.

World cup

The world cup is one mounth away. Italy won the world cup four years ago. It is being held in South Africa in 2010 this year.Good luck for your team. I hope it wins. Some of the stadiums are Durban, Cape Town, Johannesburg.

Creative Cup winners

Pencils were sharpened, paints were brought out and instruments tuned up in preparation for the awarding of this months "Creative Cup". Along with the honour of winning the cup it also comes with 3 treats for the class, so it is definitely a prize worth winning.

This months winners were Karlie and David from P6. They were awarded it for their art over the past month and as you can see from the pictures below they

were worthy winners!!

We are thinking of …

· Getting road signs at Millbridge and at the Church corner.
· Scott is asking Ms Macleod about a mural for our school
· Mrs Fitzsimons to sort out the timetable for our library
· Prefects or buddies are going to sort out that on Friday the top pitch is just for girls! They will play dodgeball and netball.

· The P.7 is sorting out the Tesco & Sainsbury target poster which will be displayed in the resource area


· Reminder to classes to bring in vouchers

P7 Rugby tournament

The P7's decided that heading to Ballynahinch rugby club was a nicer option last Wednesday than going swimming and so en masse they headed up to Ballymacarn Park to take part in the County Down tag Rugby blitz. We entered 2 teams and the rest gave great vocal support. Team X did really well. They beat Cumran and drew with Academy Saintfield. Unfortunately we lost to the eventual winners Downpatrick but played really well. Team Y also had a great tournament . They beaten twice and won one. A really good day was had by all. Big thanks to the P1 classroom assistant Fiona for agreeing to go with us, Mrs Banks for her coaching and Ernest the bus driver for waiting patiently for it to be over!!

Talent Show

Its that time of year again when Spa primary pupils dust off their golden microphones, plug the guitars into the amps, turn it all up to 11 and rock out....its the annual talent show!!!

On Thursday 25th all comers from each class with gather and battle it out to see who will be crowned Talent show champion 2010. On the grapevine we have heard that acts are as varied as juggling, joke telling, singing, drama and much more.
